Garbage, Recycling & Sewer Services

The Parish of East Baton Rouge is currently providing animal control, sewer, garbage and recycling services to the City of St. George residents.

The Department of Public Works is dedicated to maintaining safe roads, reliable infrastructure, clean public spaces, and essential services that support our growing community. Below are just a few of the services and responsibilities our team provides for residents each day.

Examples include:

  • Pothole or street issues, including signage, signals and striping
  • Roadside or drainage grass cutting
  • Drainage ditch or culvert clean outs
  • Sinkhole repairs
  • Debris or junk pile
  • Dead tree in right of way or servitude that poses a threat to public safety
  • Tree canopy trimming
