Garbage, Recycling & Sewer Services
The Parish of East Baton Rouge is currently providing animal control, sewer, garbage and recycling services to the City of St. George residents.

The Department of Public Works is dedicated to maintaining safe roads, reliable infrastructure, clean public spaces, and essential services that support our growing community. Below are just a few of the services and responsibilities our team provides for residents each day.
Examples include:
- Pothole or street issues, including signage, signals and striping
- Roadside or drainage grass cutting
- Drainage ditch or culvert clean outs
- Sinkhole repairs
- Debris or junk pile
- Dead tree in right of way or servitude that poses a threat to public safety
- Tree canopy trimming

Since joining the City, Landon has led the effort to build the Public Works Department from the ground up, establishing operations, implementing new systems, and creating a culture centered on accountability, innovation, and exceptional customer service. Under his leadership, the department has developed processes that improve efficiency, strengthen communication with residents, and ensure the City’s infrastructure and public spaces are maintained to the highest standard.
In his role, Landon works closely with City leadership, residents, contractors, and regional partners to advance critical roadway, drainage, and beautification projects while preparing St. George for long-term growth. He is committed to building a modern Public Works Department that delivers reliable services, embraces innovation, and enhances the quality of life for everyone who calls St. George home.
