The City of St. George invites residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to an upcoming public open house to see the St. George 2050 Comprehensive Plan and share their feedback before the plan moves forward for review. This event marks the culmination of a year-long planning process that included four Stakeholder Dialogues, three online surveys, and a series of focus groups.
The St. George 2050 Comprehensive Plan is a long-range planning document that will guide the city’s growth and investment decisions through 2050. From housing and land use to parks and infrastructure, the plan will give city leaders, business owners, developers, and residents a shared framework for building a city that works for everyone.
Public Open House — On Tuesday, September 29, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., the City will host a public open house at the St. George Fire Department – Special Services Building 14100 Airline Hwy, St. George, LA 70817, to share the draft Comprehensive Plan with the community and gather feedback before it moves forward for Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council review. Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Explore the Comprehensive Plan — See how community input has shaped the plan’s Future Land Use Map, goals, and recommendations for growth through 2050, and share your feedback.
- Learn About Implementation — Hear how the City will prioritize early action items and begin putting the plan’s strategies into practice.
The event is free and open to the public.
